The NYCFC.com staff have compiled the following list of players from each Copa America Centenario team that could make the move to Major League Soccer in the near future.
Argentina - Facundo Roncaglia, CB
The Argentine center back has only been involved in one match during Copa America, starting in a 3-0 victory against Bolivia in the group stage. The 29-year-old has been a consistent force for the back line of Fiorentina in Serie A. He appeared in 30 matches last season, started in 26 of them and scored a goal.
Bolivia - Pedro Azogue, CM
This young midfielder made strides in his Copa America matches, garnering the attention of clubs for his physical play. Azogue is an engine in the middle of the park and displays his strength on defense, making him a hot prospect for MLS.

Brazil - Hulk, RW
A powerful winger who has played in Portugal and Russia, the 29-year-old could be an extremely high-profile signing when his contract ends in 2019. Despite only playing 28 minutes in Copa America, Hulk would be welcomed by any team in MLS.
Chile - Mauricio Pinilla, CF
Playing mostly in Italy throughout his career, Pinilla has scored goals wherever he’s gone (46 Serie A goals). He has an eye for the spectacular, scoring three bicycle kicks in 2015, and would dazzle in MLS as a physical threat up top.
Colombia - Cristian Bonilla, GK
Despite not playing in Copa America, the Colombian goalkeeper has started and played in six matches for his Club team Atlético Nacional and continues to be one of the promising young goalkeepers from South America.
Costa Rica - Marcos Urena, ST / RW
Although the 26-year-old forward had his Copa America cut short due to injury, Urena is fairly proficient in front of goal, scoring 10 goals in 42 matches for Los Ticos. He also played six matches last season for Danish Club FC Midtjylland, scoring one goal. He could be serviceable up top for a lot of MLS clubs in the near future.
Ecuador - Christian Noboa, CM
Currently playing for FK Rostov in Russia’s top division, Noboa was a workhorse for Ecuador in Copa America Centenario. In the group stages, he led the team in passes (120) while also scoring and assisting in La Tri’s match against Haiti. Noboa’s contract expires in 2017, alerting MLS clubs about a potential steal in central midfield.
Haiti - Duckens Nazon, CF
After a strong showing in the 2015 Gold Cup, this up-and-coming forward could make his way to MLS. The 22-year-old is an unsung hero on his national team for his attacking prowess and currently plays in France’s second division. Nazon played in all three of Haiti’s Copa matches.
Jamaica - Wes Morgan, CB
The 32-year-old center is coming off a fantastic season, captaining Leicester City’s magical run to a Premiere League title. Morgan is built like a brick house and as a center back could physically matchup with anyone from MLS. Morgan’s contract expires in summer of 2017.
Mexico - Andrés Guardado, CM
Guardado is a midfielder that can bring a plethora of skills, including being able to hold on to the ball, taking free kicks and taking powerful and accurate shots. Guardado now plays for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league but it has been widely reported that Atlanta United has tried to land him.
Panama - Gabriel Torres, ST
The former Colorado Rapids striker left MLS after his option was declined. Known as a quick attacker and able to produce goals out of nowhere, “El Fantasmita” (The Phantom) could make a notable return to MLS and produce goals.
Paraguay - Fabian Balbuena, CB
6’3” and dominant in the air, the center back could be added to an MLS roster after featuring for Paraguay and Corinthians in Brazil. The 24-year-old started in Copa America for Los Guaraníes La Albirroja and could be a great addition to an MLS team’s backline.
Peru - Pedro Gallese, GK
The Peruvian goalkeeper made a name for himself in their 1-0 victory against Brazil. Gallese made five saves and held the high powered Brazilian offense off the board. During Copa America, Gallese only surrendered two goals in regulation during four matches. The 26-year-old plays for Juan Aurich in Peru’s top flight, Torneo Descentralizado.
USA - Alejandro Bedoya, LM / CM / RM
MLS could be looking to add more US national team talent to rosters in hopes of strengthening the league and Bedoya would be a welcome addition. At 29, Bedoya is playing in France but could return and slot into an MLS team’s midfield; his versatility in the middle of the park would be coveted by most teams.
Uruguay - Álvaro González, CM
The Uruguayan midfielder has spent time in Italy, Argentina and Mexico while racking up caps for his national team. At 31 years old, González has proven to be durable and consistent in the midfield, scoring and defending well, and could easily make the transition to MLS where he would start on most teams. His contract is up at the end June 2016, making him a legitimate target.
Venezuela - Alejandro Guerra, CAM
Besides attempting a long-range effort against Uruguay, Guerra led La Vinotinto in the knockout stages by creating chances and putting in tough shifts on defense. Currently playing in Colombia’s top flight and 30-years-old, Guerra could be a target for MLS clubs in the near future.
