Our Approach: We are committed to creating access and opportunity for youth through the development of safe spaces, delivery of free programming, and the empowerment of young leaders in the community.

About City in the Community (CITC) NY: CITC is the 501 (c)(3) charity foundation proudly supported by New York City FC. CITC builds on City Football Group’s long-standing tradition of community initiatives in NYC and across the globe. CITC NY has been selected four times as a finalist for ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian of the Year Award. In addition, NYCFC was named 2016 and 2019 MLS Community Relations Team of the Year, and Young Leaders Yasmine Sanchez (2019) and Chelsea Quito (2020) were awarded the ESPN Billie Jean King Award.

New York City Soccer Initiative

New York City Soccer Initiative

New York City Soccer Initiative (NYCSI) is supported by New York City FC, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, adidas, Etihad Airways, and the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City. All five partners pledged to invest to build and maintain 50 mini-soccer pitches in all five boroughs and provide free programming for children focused on promoting healthy eating habits, active living, and mentorship.
