New York City FC’s Academy will be heading to Florida this week to participate in the 2018 Development Academy Winter Showcase.
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase brings all academies together for a series of games to be played at Premier Sports Complex in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This event will feature 178 teams and over 250 matches, giving each club the opportunity to play against opposition they wouldn’t normally face in divisional competition with the results counting towards the overall regular season standings.
The U-18/U-19 squad kicks off play against FC Dallas on Thursday, November 29 while the U-16/U-17’s hit the pitch for their first match on Friday, November 30 as they face Seattle Sounders. Keep it locked across NYCFC channels throughout the weekend for the latest updates on the Young Boys in Blue.
