It’s halftime in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and NYCFC have some work to do. Fortunately, we’re back on home soil and ready to roll up our sleeves.
Here are nine reasons to come out to Yankee Stadium on Sunday:
- This could be history! NYCFC could earn a place in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time ever, and you definitely want to be a part of that.
- If City gets the job done on Sunday, there’s a chance we could be set for a Hudson River Derby in the Conference Finals.
- NYCFC is back at Yankee Stadium for the first time since September 9th. We’ve really missed having you all there.
- We need your voice. It’s no secret that NYCFC has a lot of ground to make up on Sunday, but your strong support can really help turn the tide.
- We got a big-time away goal from our captain, David Villa, on Tuesday. That makes things a little bit easier, and now we’ve got a chance to make history.
- In his last two matches against the Crew, David Villa has three goals. That’s a pretty killer trend.
- The last time NYCFC hosted Columbus at Yankee Stadium, City won 4-1.
- Alexander Ring continues to be absolutely on point for City. On Tuesday, he completed 84 passes with a success rate of 90%. He’s simply too cool in midfield.
- In seven matches against Columbus, David Villa has eight goals. That’s a fantastic record, and if he keeps it up, NYCFC could be in business.
