David Villa scored his league leading eighth goal of the season and completed more than 78% of his passes. This is the third time Villa has been named to MLS team of the week for the 2016 season.

Jason Hernandez also had an impressive match, blocking five Portland shots. The defenders best block came early in the match as Hernandez jumped in front of a shot and blocked an empty net to prevent the Timbers from getting on the board. For Hernandez, this is his first time being named to MLS Team of the Week.
