It was a banner day for New York City FC, especially captain David Villa.
The forward had a goal and an assist as the Club earned their first-ever victory with a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution in front of 43,507 at Yankee Stadium on March 15.
For his performance, Villa has been named to the Major League Soccer Team of the Week for Week 2.
Villa capped a lovely team sequence with his first goal in the league and for New York City FC in the 19th minute and turned provider, setting up Patrick Mullins' goal in the 84th to seal all three points.
