David Villa has been featured in MLS’s Team of the Week for week two. The Captain scored his first two goals of the 2016 MLS season, including a penalty. For Villa it is his third multi-goal match against Toronto.

During 2015, Villa was named MLS player of the week on two separate occasions. The forward was also named the Club’s Most Valuable Player for the inaugural season. Villa finished fourth overall in goals in 2015.
