In the 83rd minute, the forward received a sensational lofted chip over the defense from Andrea Pirlo, took a touch and beat Columbus goalkeeper Steve Clark to tie the game at two.

This is the fourth time this season that Villa has been nominated for Goal of the Week. He now has fifteen goals on the season, tied for most in Major League Soccer with Sebastian Giovinco.
