Frederic Brillant has won NYCFC’s October’s Etihad Player of the Month award.
The French defender took 50% of the fan vote to win the individual monthly title for the first time in his NYCFC career.
Brillant, who joined the club from Oostende in January, played 31 times in the regular season and took part in both of the team’s first-ever MLS Playoff games against Toronto.
Through the month of October, Frederic was part of the defence which won games against Columbus and DC United, earning NYCFC a second place finish in the Eastern Conference.
David Villa finished second in the vote with 40% of the vote, while Steven Mendoza took third with 10%.
