New York City FC striker Taty Castellanos has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for September.
The 23-year-old striker is enjoying his best season in front of goal for NYCFC, and boosted his total in MLS to 13 last month.
Scoring three times in September, Castellanos started his run with a consolation strike against Nashville SC. He followed that up with an instrumental role in the 2-1 win against FC Cincinnati - both earning and scoring the game-winning penalty kick.
Elsewhere, Castellanos reminded fans he was a man for the big occasion by helping NYCFC secure a first-half advantage against Red Bulls in the Hudson River Derby.
The Argentinian forward also turned provider in September - assisting Santiago Rodríguez’s opener against New England Revolution. He was nominated for the award alongside teammates Gudi Thórarinsson and Héber.
The club would like to congratulate Taty for this award, which follows on from his MLS Player of the Month success in August.
