New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard has been selected in MLSSoccer.com’s Team of the Week (Week 26).
Lampard scored a brace against D.C. United to extend NYCFC’s franchise best home winning streak to five matches. Lampard scored his first of two goals in the 85th minute, collecting the deflection off of David Villa and going cross net to beat goalkeeper Bill Hamid. After a United equalizer, Lampard secured the game winner in the 93rd minute to give New York City all three points.

This is the second time this season that Lampard has been named to the MLS Team of the Week.
NYCFC is back in action this weekend against New England Revolution on September 10th at 8 pm ET on YES Network.
