Frank Lampard Selected as One of Commissioner's Picks for 2015 MLS All-Star Game

New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard has been named to the 2015 Major League Soccer All-Star Game as one of Commissioner Don Garber's picks, it was announced on Monday evening.


Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard is Garber's other selection.


The MLS All-Stars face Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League in the MLS All-Star Game at 9 p.m. ET on July 29 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado. The match will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and UniMas in the United States and TSN and RDS in Canada.


Lampard will join teammate David Villa on the All-Star team. Villa, who leads New York City FC with 10 goals, was voted to the Fan XI on Monday evening.


Lampard has played in two prior MLS All-Star Games as a member of Chelsea in 2006 and 2012.
