There’s something especially satisfying about goals scored without the ball touching the ground.
Today, we look back at some of the best headers and volleys scored by NYCFC players in 2016.
From an outrageous bicycle kick to one of the best cross/header combinations in the league this season, we’ve got plenty of examples of the art for you…
Here are five of the best gravity-defying goals scored in 2016.
In no particular order…
Villa v Vancouver
Here’s that bicycle kick we were talking about…

Villa v Orlando
Another one from David and this one might be even better than the first entry.
The pass from Andrea was inch perfect and Villa read it beautifully, taking it under his duress and guiding it over the onrushing goalkeeper.
A stunner.
