New York City FC will be left shorthanded on the back line once again going into their matchup with league-leading Toronto FC this Sunday.
Left fullback Ben Sweat will be available after recovering from a head injury sustained in an aerial collision during last weekend's match against Chicago, but center back Maxime Chanot will remain sidelined with the osteitis pubis inflammation that kept him out against Chicago.
Elsewhere, the Central American duo that sustained injuries at the Gold Cup, Miguel Camargo and Rodney Wallace, will be unavailable as well. Camargo is out for the season after sustaining a non-displaced left hip acetabular fracture during his time with Panama.
Wallace's injury is a more short-term loss for NYCFC, with the attacker sidelined for just a few more weeks after suffering a right adductor strain.
Ronald Matarrita and Khiry Shelton remain on the shelf, as well. Matarrita's fractured metatarsal will keep him out until later this year, while Shelton is still recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained earlier in the season.
NYCFC Homegrown James Sands will also remained sidelined this weekend with an R ASIS apophysitis injury that will keep him out of contention for the next four to five weeks.
According to MLSsoccer.com's injury report, Toronto FC will be without defender Steven Beitashour and midfielder Benoit Cheyrou for this weekend's match.
