There was more good news from the medical team for Patrick Vieira as both Mikey Lopez and Ethan White have also both received the all-clear following their lay-offs.
The pair suffered injuries in the 1-1 draw with Red Bulls in August and missed all of September’s games up to now but now their returns hand their Head Coach another boost going into important back-to-back road games at Montreal and Chicago.
Ronald Matarrita returned to the matchday 18 on Saturday.
That means there are just two players out of contention for Wednesday night’s game in the shape of Miguel Camargo and Maxime Chanot as Vieira’s injury headache looks to be coming to an end.
According to quotes delivered from the Head Coach to the media last week, it’s hoped Chanot will return after October’s international break, while Camargo is out for the rest of the season.
James Sands will also miss the game as he has joined up with U.S U-17 squad for their FIFA U-17 World Cup preparations in Dubai.
For Montreal, Ambroise Oyongo will miss the game according to MLSSoccer.com.
