New York City FC hosts the Seattle Sounders in the Bronx on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium as we celebrate Staten Island Borough Night.

NYCFC on a Roll
The Boys in Blue secured their fourth consecutive win, including U.S. Open Cup matches, on Saturday against Philadelphia Union.
The team’s unbeaten streak also stretched to 13 matches and now NYCFC looks to keep it going against Seattle. NYCFC is the only team left in Major League Soccer with just a single loss this season after LAFC fell to defeat no.2 of 2019 last weekend.
As City’s roll continues, so does Maxi Moralez’s role as a playmaker. The Argentine currently retains the record for most assists in the league thus far in the 2019 season, with 11.
On Saturday, he earned himself a brace, as well as two assists, in an explosive performance from our resident Spidey. He pulled through for NYCFC, bringing home the three points and earned himself a spot on the MLS Team of the Week in the process.
Showing Heart
NYCFC took on the challenge of facing the Eastern Conference leaders, Philadelphia Union and showed that this team never backs down.
City twice went behind vs. Philly but twice they came back, with Maxi finishing coolly from the penalty spot to make it 2-2.
From there, Taty took over, scoring clinically twice from Moralez assists to clinch all three points.
The Boys in Blue showed heart and resilience throughout the match, never shying away from a challenge nor accepting defeat.

Depth Driving
The Club’s win on Saturday was their first win in 2019 without Héber in the lineup. The team went into the match without seven first-teamers, three of whom were away for international duty.
Although missing men is not an easy feat for any team, Dome Torrent wasn’t worried. He looked to Taty to step up in place of Héber and it paid off.
Brad Stuver was back in net for the City, Keaton Parks shined in the midfield, and captain Alex Ring played as a central defender.
It's a squad game after all and Dome showd that even with missing men, we can get the job done. This resilience could be key again vs. Seattle...
Head-to-Head Sound Off
New York City’s Football Club and the Seattle Sounders have only met in four matches previously, in the City’s short five-season history.
The series is split down the middle, as both teams each have a 2-0-2 record.
Luckily for the City, they have yet to lose a match at home this young season with three wins and four draws.
Meanwhile, the Sounders have lost their last three matches on the road, though they are still coming off a win against Montreal Impact in Week 17.
In their most recent meeting, NYCFC traveled to Washington state, coming away with a 3-1 loss, meaning they will be looking to redeem themselves this time around.
