City has had an action-packed month with quick turnarounds in between. Going into this road trip to Vancouver, NYC finally had a full week to rest, recover, and catch their breath before the upcoming match.
With the time off in their schedule, the Boys in Blue were able to travel to Vancouver early and begin training, ready to fight for yet another road win.

South American Connection
After earning nine points in eight days, NYCFC is on a three-game win streak and they will look to keep it going at BC Place.
City has returned to their winning ways once again, and are hungry for more, with forwards Héber and Taty Castellanos in devastating form.
The pair has helped NYCFC to victory – in fact, they are the only players in MLS with 8+ goals since the beginning of June.
Road Blues
The Boys in Blue have maintained a solid record on the road this season with a 5-4-4 record claiming 19 points and a +2 goal differential: The second-best goal differential on the road after the Western Conference leaders, LAFC.
The team’s lead scorer Héber has 13 goals to his name, ten of which came on the road.
After a tough loss on the road against Atlanta, NYCFC has kicked things into high gear and earned nine points in eight days defeating FC Cincinnati, Columbus Crew, and the Red Bulls.
An essential principle that has led to City’s success on the road is never underestimating the opponent, especially on their own turf.
The Whitecaps have gone unbeaten through seven games at home and are one of the three teams to hand LAFC a defeat this season.
It won’t be easy.
Table Talk
NYCFC is currently in third place on the Eastern Conference table after a big Hudson River Derby win.
The teams sitting above are Atlanta United and Philadelphia Union, who meet this weekend, meaning one of them is sure to drop points.
