NYCFC midfielder Mikey Lopez will miss the start of the 2017 MLS Season.
This week, the Texan had arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies in his ankle.
This surgery was performed at Columbia Presbyterian hospital in Manhattan by Dr Griesberg and was a success.
Mikey is expected to make a full recovery in 12-16 weeks.
