Meet four founding members from Section 230, Matt, TJ, Richie, and Peter. These four NYCFC fans have rarely missed an NYCFC match and believe their section is pretty special.
Matt (far left), from Suffern, NY, is enamored with the atmosphere of an NYCFC match, especially in section 230. Being around other City Members gives him a sense of togetherness that he enjoys. Matt’s favorite player is Andrea Pirlo. The 20-year-old has been a fan of The Maestro since his days in Serie A and with the Italian national team. Like most other fans, Matt believes that he has the best hair on the team.

Then there is TJ (middle left) from Stony Brook, NY. He enjoys seeing how the support for the Club has grown on a match-to-match basis. TJ is excited by the recent acquisition of NYCFC forward Steven Mendoza and he believes the energy he injects into the Club has been instrumental in NYCFC's success so far this season.
Moving down the line, Peter (middle right), from Suffern, NY. Peter has never missed a match and when he recalled his favorite NYCFC moment, it was watching Andrea Pirlo making his debut on July 26 against Orlando City. The 23-year-old cheers for all the players, but shares a special connection with Tommy McNamara, having grown-up only a few miles away from McNamara’s hometown of West Nyack, NY. You can find Peter sporting his favorite Mix Diskerud hat on matchday.

Finally, there is Richie (far right) from Hunnington, NY. Richie is a big fan of Ronald Matarrita’s hard play, energy and youthfulness. Richie always wears his home blue jersey because he believes it brings the Club good luck. Unlike Matt, Richie believes that Khiry Shelton has the best hair on the team. The 20-year old still gets goosebumps right before kickoff.
All four fans may have different opinions on who their favorite player is or what is the best gear to wear but they all agree that section 230 is the best place to watch a match.
