New York City FC is heading south to Florida for training camp and preseason. Head coach Patrick Vieira will lead the Club in an exhibition match followed by a preseason tournament.
New York City FC will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. from Jan. 22 - Feb. 1 to train at Florida Gulf Coast University, and play a friendly match against the FGCU men’s soccer team on Jan. 31.

The Club will then travel to Sarasota, Fla., to participate in a friendly tournament featuring Danish Superliga club HB Koge (DEN), USL club FC Cincinnati, and Úrvalsdeild club Reykjavik FC (ICE). The tournament will take place from Feb. 20 - Feb. 27. Training sessions during this time will be held at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The training camp will be their second preseason trip to Florida, having previously visited in 2015.
New York City FC will start the MLS regular season on the road against Chicago on March 6 at 2 p.m. New York City FC will play its 2016 Home Opener against Toronto FC on March 13 at 5 p.m.
