New York City FC today drafted three players in the 2022Ā MLS SuperDraft.Ā
The first player selected by the Club was Princetonās Kevin OāToole. The forward, who recorded seven goals and nine assists for Princeton last season, was chosen with the 34thĀ pick overall in the second round of Tuesdayās draft.Ā
The Boys in Blue were originally scheduled to make the 28thĀ pick of the day, but traded that to FC Dallas for $50,000 in Allocation Money and the 34thĀ pick of Round Two.
That was followed up by the arrival Kingsford Adjei with the 56thĀ pick of Round Two. The forward was drafted from the University of Dayton, where he recorded five goals and three assists in 15 games in 2021.
The pair were joined by El Mahdi Youssoufi. The forward recorded 13 goals and 2 assists in 16 games for St Francis College Brooklyn in 2021.
