- Night Leagues will take place at brand new weekend programming site at Flushing High School
New York City FC (NYCFC) today launched Night Leagues, a new youth soccer weekend program. The new programming will be based at a new pilot site at Flushing High School. Official Solar Partner of the Club, EmPower Solar, will serve as the primary partner for the new program.
Night Leagues aims to empower youth through ongoing weekend soccer programming and provide participants with access to professional development opportunities. NYCFC’s nonprofit foundation, City in the Community (CITC), will recruit youth aged 15-18 from Flushing High School and the surrounding areas for the pilot site. In addition to free soccer programming, NYCFC and EmPower Solar will connect participants to mentors and resources to improve their career and college readiness.

Night Leagues will run for two hours every Saturday evening throughout 2024, providing 45 weeks of programming, including professional development workshops with EmPower employees. This new youth program builds on NYCFC’s ongoing commitment to create safe spaces during high crime hours and increase access to soccer for young people.
