New York City FC at Montreal Impact: Facts & Figures

Tommy McNamara celebrates his goal vs. Red Bulls 2

Following a 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo on May 30, New York City FC head coach Jason Kreis inserted Tommy McNamara into the Starting XI.

The move paid dividends as the Club won their next three matches: 2-1 at Philadelphia on June 6, 3-1 vs. Montreal on June 13 and 2-0 at Toronto FC on June 20.

McNamara, a midfielder, had a goal and assist during that stretch and scored in New York City FC's 3-1 loss to the Red Bulls last weekend. His strike from distance against the Union was named MLS Goal of the Week.

Stade Saputo

Montreal has won four consecutive matches at home at Stade Saputo. During that stretch, the Impact have outscored opponents 10-3, most recently beating Orlando City SC 2-0 on June 20.

New York City FC defender Jeb Brovsky knows a thing or two about the venue. He played three seasons with the Impact from 2012-14.

"It was an incredible place to play," Brovsky said. "The fans were incredible to me and my family. I owe the fans a lot there. They really supported me. It’s going to be a special feeling to be back in front of them. Hopefully we can get three points, then I’ll be very happy."
