Here are Two Things We Learned from New York City FC's Week 10 match at the New York Red Bulls:
1. The Team is Sticking Together
There are no fingers being pointed or hanging heads. New York City FC players know they're improving on a weekly basis even though they might not be getting the desired results right now.
"We're going to continue to stick together," defender RJ Allen said. "We're going to get through this. We are a good team and everyone in this locker room believes it and we're going to turn this around."
"I continue to see a lot of quality," head coach Jason Kreis said. "I continue to think that we're close. We're not quite there yet and I think we need some improvement and some more time together. I continue to believe."
2. Traveling Support is Strong
Nearly 2,000 New York City FC fans made the trek across the Hudson River to Red Bull Arena for Sunday night's match.
The fans, led by The Third Rail, were boisterous, loud and passionate.
As it has all season, their support isn't going unnoticed.
"I think that's one of the biggest positives for the Club on the day," forward Patrick Mullins said. "It was amazing."
"Incredible fan support tonight," Kreis said. "It was a great atmosphere for a match, no doubt."
