New York City FC have seen an improvement in their play since Memorial Day Weekend. It's no coincidence that is in correlation with the insertion of Tommy McNamara into the Starting XI.
The 24-year-old midfielder has four goals in the last nine matches (all starts) as the Club has gone 5-3-1 since drawing with Houston on May 30.
McNamara found the back of the net for the second consecutive match in New York City FC's 3-2 loss to Montreal on August 1. He also was vital in the Club's first goal, drawing a penalty that David Villa converted in the 68th minute.
Here is the story of McNamara's day in video, statistics, quotes and more.
