New York City FC Captain David Villa scored his first two goals of the 2016 campaign on Sunday against Toronto FC. In the 24', Villa converted the penalty drawn by Tommy McNamara. Four minutes later, the forward chested down a ball inside the box and fired from close range, putting NYCFC up 2-0. David Villa leads New York City FC in goals for the 2016 MLS season with two.
