If you caught Saturday’s match, you may have noticed that Tommy Mac had a brand new ‘do.
Tommy’s hair may have its own fan club, but it’s not everything to his game. “Reports of a Samson-like potential demise, though, went mercifully proven wrong,” noted MLSsoccer.com.

In news that will delight City supporters, the New York Post reports that Patrick Vieira is primed to stick around for the long haul, reaffirming his commitment to NYCFC and dismissing rumors of his interest in a coaching vacancy in France’s Ligue 1.
“I love every single day of it,” he told reporters, “Speculation is part of our world and I get used to it.”
Vieira navigated NYCFC to their first-ever playoff appearances last season, and has his team playing well through the first 15 regular season matches of 2017. The club stand in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference and have the 4th best goal differential in Major League Soccer.
Elsewhere, people are taking notice of the mentality shift that carried NYCFC to their recent home victory over Philadelphia.
New York Sports Day summed up the late comeback by saying, “After giving up a late equalizing goal in their recent matchup against the Revolution, and finding themselves behind 1-0 in a game they were dominating, the Blues kept their heads up.”
Meanwhile, Prost Amerika had a chat with Maxime Chanot, who had himself quite a match.
“It was Chanot who opened the floodgates,” they write, “knotting the match at a goal apiece with a thundering header to the near post, sneaking it in past Blake as the keeper’s feet failed to move.”
On the international front, local blog Hudson River Blue has you covered for Yangel Herrera's latest exploits, as well as Sean Johnson and Tommy McNamara, who were both called up to the United States' provisional Gold Cup roster.
