NYCFC have drafted Jalen Brown in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
The Xavier University forward scored one of the best goals in the MLS Combine and was selected as the 15th pick in the second round of the draft in LA.
He follows Jonathan Lewis and Kwame Awuah to the club, who joined as third and 16th overall first round picks respectively.
Brown spent four years at Xavier and was part of 45 victories for the Musketeers and he picked up seven Big East Conference honors, including two rookie honors in his freshman season and a Big East All-Tournament Team selection in 2014.
Jalen is an explosive forward who has demonstrated good link-up play and ability to beat defenders in one-on-ones at the Combine.
Brown started 14 and 19 games in his junior and senior years and finished with 14 career goals (included five match-winners) and eight assists.
