Three New York CIty FC players got a run out this past weekend.
Midfielder Frank Lampard made his return from a nagging thigh injury, playing 26 minutes at a soggy Loftus Road and helping Manchester City battle back to earn a 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.
Over in Norway, midfielder Andrew Jacobson put in a strong 90 minutes to help propel Stabaek to a 2-0 road victory at Sogndal in their final match of the season. In total, Jacobson played the full 90 minutes in 14 of his 15 matches while on loan in Norway.
Out West in San Antonio, Josh Saunders came up with big saves on multiple occassions as he helped the Scorpions to the NASL Championship Final with a 2-1 victory over the New York Cosmos. The league final will take place on November 15th at Toyota Field.
