New York City FC defender Ronald Matarrita has been selected to MLS’s Team of the Week for week 24. This is the fourth time this season that Matarrita has been named to MLS's Team of the Week (week 6, 10 and 16).

The defender was part of a back four that helped NYCFC collect their seventh clean sheet of the season. The NYCFC defense only allowed one shot on target for the whole match in the Club’s 1-0 win against the Galaxy on Saturday.
Matarrita has played in 18 matches, starting 16 for NYCFC this season.
The win was NYCFC’s fourth in a row at Yankee Stadium and ensured they would remain atop the Eastern Conference at the end of the weekend.
Midfielder Andrea Pirlo made the bench of MLS Team of the Week.
