New York City FC defender Ronald Matarrita has been selected to MLS’s Team of the Week for week six.

Matarrita was part of a back four that helped NYCFC collect their first clean sheet on Sunday night. The NYCFC defense did not let Chicago get a shot on target for the whole match in the Club’s 0-0 draw. The Costa Rican also completed more then 90% of his passes (40 of 44) against the Fire.
Matarrita made his return to the lineup after missing the 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution on March 26 for international duty.
