Ismael Tajouri-Shradi was the toast of NYCFC on Pride Night as he scored goals six and seven for the club he joined in the offseason.
Netting the first and second goals in a 3-0 win over Orlando City on Saturday night, Tajouri-Shradi earned the Heineken Star of the Game award, voted on by fans, in the process.
His second two-goal game, Tajouri-Shradi has undoubtedly hit the ground running after his move to MLS from the Austrian Bundesliga in the winter.

The Libyan forward has announced himself as one of the most clinical forwards in the league in the first 14 weeks of the campaign, average a goal every 79.2 minutes on the field across his 11 appearances (7 starts).
Already, Isi needs just one goal to match the most productive goalscoring season of his career (2016/17) and his stats get even better when you factor in the number of shots he taken.
In total, the 24-year old has attempted 12 shots, with eight on target, scoring with all but one of those on-frame strikes.
In Isi’s own words: “I’m very happy about my goals of course, but I’m more happy that we could take the three points today because this was an important game for us.
“We wanted to take the three points because we are playing in a very important week, so in a few days is the next important game and we want to win that, of course.”
City were locked in an end-to-end game until Tajouri-Shradi struck on 35’, paving the way for a dominant second half.
Now it’s onto Red Bulls in the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night, before a mouthwatering clash vs. Atlanta United at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.
“We were focusing on Orlando, so we’ve taken the three points and what we need and now we’re focused on the Red Bulls,” Isi reflected.
“In a few days is our next very important game and we want to win the Open Cup and then the League.
“Of course, we want to continue this way and it will be very difficult, but we want to continue this way and win against the Red Bulls and then we’ll focus on the next game against Atlanta.”
