After Sunday's 3-1 win over Atlanta United at Yankee Stadium, NYCFC saw goals from Villa, Wallace, and Moralez.
But it was the captain who opened up the scoreboard, celebrating his new contract extension in style.
Reminiscent of his first-ever goal for NYCFC, Villa exchanged passes with Rodney Wallace and planted the ball beyond Kann, firing in off the inside of the post.
