New York City FC clinched their playoff berth this weekend. Now that we’re headed into September, it’s time to vote on the Etihad Airways Player of the Month.
Here are the Boys in Blue in the running…
Maxime Chanot
The Luxembourg international started all seven games in August and has been a force to be reckoned with in the backline all season long.
Chanot has always been a leader on and off the pitch, which is why Dome Torrent looked to him to wear the captain’s armband against the Vancouver Whitecaps while Alex Ring was out.
Héber
The Brazilian striker has had a season to remember with NYCFC. Ever since he arrived at the Big Apple, Héber has made a splash and taken the city by storm.
He has scored 14 goals and four assists in the 20 games that he has played in City Blue, including five strikes in the month of August.

Valentin Castellanos
The Argentine forward has ten goals and five assists so far in Season 5, and he’s just getting started.
Taty came up big in August, scoring five goals, including a pair of braces vs. Houston and FC Cincinnati.
He has also made his way on to the MLS Team of the Week twice this season and has been a big part in City’s success this season.
