Vote now for the Etihad Player of the Month for March 2019. Here are the nominees:
Alex Ring
NYCFC’s new Captain has taken the armband with gusto in Season 5, pledging from the beginning of the camp, “I’ll do it my way”. And his way appears to include an expanded bag of tricks, as he’s equaled his career goals with NYCFC in this last month, with two vs. Orlando City SC and LAFC respectively, in addition to his full complement of passing range and crunching tackles. The captaincy is in good hands…
James Sands
The first-ever homegrown signing in club history has stormed out of the gates in Season 5 – starting all four matches in Domenec Torrent’s midfield thus far and showing off his improved strength vs. some of Major League Soccer’s toughest opponents in March. His high marks in March means he could be in line for his first Etihad Player of the Month award…
Sean Johnson
NYC’s #1 keeper keeps on keeping on at a high level. Sean Johnson has earned one shutout and made 12 saves so far this season through the month of March – and his stock with the US Men’s National Team continues to rise as he earned a clean sheet for Gregg Berhalter’s side vs. Ecuador over the international break. As always, #JohnsonSaves.
