Santiago Rodríguez
Although Rodríguez was signed to score and create goals, the month of July has seen his industry off the ball benefit the team also.
His tireless running was central to the team securing a win on the road at Montréal and a point against Columbus Crew.
The Uruguayan even managed to pop up with an assist against the Crew after pulling the ball from the sky and laying it off to Justin Haak for his first senior goal.
Tayvon Gray
This season has seen Gray undergo a change of position as he moved inside to become a central defender in a back three.
The Bronx native played the same position in the Club’s academy, and that experience has shown in his performances for the first team.
His strong 1v1 play has helped NYCFC record an impressive defensive record, with the 20-year-old playing every available minute in July.
Keaton Parks
The midfielder from Texas has been a key cog in the heart of midfield this season, and played almost every minute in the league in July.
A talented passer that is composed on the ball, Parks showed both skills for the Boys in Blue, and secured himself an assist in the process.
His pass to Braian Cufré allowed the Argentine to tie the game against Charlotte FC and secure NYCFC a point in the process.
