The nominations for October 2022's Etihad Player of the Month have been revealed.

Three New York City stars finished the season in stellar form, all contributing at the sharp end of the pitch as Nick Cushing's side clinched third spot and reached the Eastern Conference Final.

Who gets your vote...?

Gabriel Pereira

The Brazilian has enjoyed a superb debut campaign, netting nine MLS goals in total.

The 21-year-old, who was shortlisted for the Newcomer of the Year, played a key role in our playoff push, having tallied a goal and two assists in his previous three matches.

After setting up Talles Magno for our late winner against Orlando City, he broke the deadlock just nine minutes into our trip to Atlanta United and then scored the opening goal in our Round One playoff triumph over Inter Miami, beautifully curling into the top corner to send the Boys in Blue on our way to victory.

Pereira was also influential in our road win at CF Montréal, crafting the opener and winning the penalty which effectively killed the contest.

Maxi Moralez

The Argentine starred on our playoff journey, netting three goals in as many games.

He bagged his 100th career goal in our 3-0 win over Miami, doubling our lead with a well-taken drilled finish from Rodriguez's pass, and was then in the right place at the right time to break the deadlock in our next assignment at Stade Saputo.

The 35-year-old, who had earned plenty of praise from Cushing for his positive influence both on and off the pitch, then turned defense into attack on the stroke of half-time with a driving run before finding Rodriguez to set up our second.

And Moralez's scoring touch would continue into the Eastern Conference Final, where he struck another sweet finish low into the bottom corner to hand the visitors the advantage and net his fifth of the season.

Santiago Rodríguez

The Uruguayan also produced a crucial contribution on the attacking front with four assists in October.

The Midfielder was at the heart of some of City's best offensive moves, putting the ball on a plate for his teammates with excellent vision and decision-making.

After clinching September's Player of the Month prize, he claimed two assists in our playoff opener against Miami, teeing up Pereira and Moralez - the latter with a clever back-heeled through-ball.

He was then involved in the build-up for all three goals in Montréal, placing an inch-perfect delivery into Héber's path for the Brazilian to slide home for 2-0, and laid the ball off for Moralez to strike the first blow in Philadelphia.
