New York City FC Head Coach Domènec Torrent has welcomed Jo Inge Berget, Maxime Chanot and Alex Ring back into the lineup for tonight’s clash vs. Montreal Impact.
City go into this clash at the Saputo Stadium knowing that a win will clinch their Audi 2018 MLS Playoffs berth with four games of the Regular Season remaining after tonight.
Jo Inge returns after recovering from injury, while Ring is back from suspension and Chanot partners Alexander Callens oncemore after a goalscoring international break with Luxembourg.
Elsewhere, it’s the same eight players which started vs. D.C. United before the two-week break from action, with Sean Johnson, Anton Tinnerholm and Ben Sweat making up the rest of the back five, behind Ring, Eloi Amagat and Ronald Matarrita.
Maxi Moralez retains his place in the lineup alongside Berget and captain David Villa, who scored a brilliant free-kick for his 11th goal of the season last time out.
It’s a full seven-player bench this time around, too, with Ismael Tajouri-Shradi and Rodney Wallace returning from international duty to take up spots in the gameday 18.
Kick-off in Canada takes place at 7.30pm on YES Network and NYCFC.com/Radio.
