James Sands has earned the start for New York City FC’s first game of Season 5 in Orlando.
The U.S. youth international makes the team after impressing on preseason and lines up in midfield alongside Alex Ring and Ebenezer Ofori.
Alexandru Mitriță makes his competitive debut for NYCFC after signing in the offseason, as part of a front three with Maxi Moralez and Jonathan Lewis.
At the back, Alexander Callens and Maxime Chanot partner up with Anton Tinnerholm and Ben Sweat as the full-backs on either side ahead of Sean Johnson in net.
On the bench, Keaton Parks and Tony Rocha are also in line for MLS debuts for the Boys in Blue, while Valentin Castellanos and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi are two explosive options should Dome Torrent need them.
