New York City FC striker Taty Castellanos has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for August.
The Argentinian striker showed why he is so highly regarded in MLS last month thanks to a fantastic return of four goals in five league games. His strikes not only helped NYCFC secure six extra points as they chase down the Supporters’ Shield, but also allowed him to reach double figures for the season.
The 22-year-old was not content just scoring goals, however, and turned provider on two occasions during August, earning him the award.
Castellanos was nominated alongside Maxi Moralez and James Sands.
