2023: The midfielder penned a new deal at the start of the year, extending his contract through 2025 with an option for 2026.
2022: After featuring in the US Open Cup, Haak enjoyed more senior gametime under the stewardship of Nick Cushing, featuring in 15 MLS regular season fixtures to gain more First Team experience. He featured in the Campeones Cup triumph over Atlas F.C. and also earned minutes in the MLS playoffs. In addition, he also suited up for NYCFC II, playing in six matches and scoring a goal.
2021: The youngster was once again loaned to Hartford Athletic (USL Championship) where he made 16 appearances for Hartford.
2020: The midfielder joined Hartford Athletic (USL Championship) on loan for the remainder of the 2020 season.
2019: Haak signed his first professional contract with NYCFC, becoming City's third-ever Homegrown Player to graduate from the Academy to the first team squad - and the first player to sign from the Five Boroughs. He had a memorable season after making his debut against FC Cincinnati, receiving a huge ovation from the fans upon his entrance.
2018: After attending NYCFC pre-season camp in 2018 and impressing in friendly matches vs. LA Galaxy and Atlético San Luis, he continued to train with the first team regularly through 2018.
International: Haak has been capped at the international level with the U.S. U-18s and helped them win the International Youth Tournament of Vaclav Jezek in the Czech Republic in August 2018.
Academy: Haak began with the Club’s first ever Academy side, the U-14s in 2015, and progressed through the entire pathway, ultimately helping win the Generation adidas Cup in 2017 and the USDA National Championship in 2018.
